The
Committee
Left to Right
- Susan Talbot
our Committe Chair, accompanist and assistant
musical director. She is an outstanding pianist
and is often called upon to accompany many
soloists from around the UK. We know she is
"the Best" and inspires the choir to
perform to the highest standard.
- Terry Brookes
our Treasurer and keeper of the coppers. He sings
1st Tenor and has been a member of the choir
since its formation in 1957. He shares the front
row of the choir along with his brother who sings
as a 2nd Tenor.
- Joe
Sommerville until recently our Publicity Officer
and member of the 2nd Tenor line up. A Scot with
a wicked sense of humour. He is the man with the
bag who sells our latest recordings.
- David Cooke
is the Choir Secretary and ensures that all
members of the choir are informed of concerts and
other events. A member of the Baritone line which
adds to the rich tones of our choir.
- Dai Rees has
been a member for some 40 years. He is also a
welcome export from Wales. Through that
connection he ensures that when we sing "Cwm
Rhondda" we do so correctly. He recently
retired as an active member in the 1st Tenor line
up. He is now our Honorary Life President.
- Glynn
Edwards is our Musical Director and brings a
wealth of experience to that role. He is the only
male member of the choir who gets away with not
wearing our traditional green blazer. Originally
a member of the 2nd Tenor line up he has been
with the choir for many years.
