For the over 50 years the Daleian
Singers have been making music. Originating in
the mining village of Silverdale (hence our name), near
to Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire,
Since our inception we have attempted to
bring to our repertoire a high standard of male voice
singing that gives pleasure to the many people who come
to listen to us. From classical male voice, to modern
musical arrangements for male voices, the music we make
varies to suite all tastes.
During 2007 we celebrated our Golden Jubilee
year.
Our Celebration Concert at the Victoria Hall, Hanley was
a sellout success as we recounted in song the past 50
years.
Tenor Alfie Boe our guest for the evening proving
to be an instant hit.
During the early part of 2008, our concert with Rhos Orpheus Male Voice Choir,
Longton Methodist Central Hall, was an overwhelming
success enjoyed by not only our audience but by both
choirs.
Keep up with our diary and come and listen!
